Kwong Fook Primary School is my childhood. I studied in that school from Pr 1 to pr 5 when it closed. There was less than a hundred students then and we were like a big family. Until today, I’m still in touched with some classmates and teachers. The school is a big part of my growing up and I had fond memories of the premises.
I studied in Kwong Fook Primary Scoohl from P1 to P3 too… I still can’t forget this school even though it was 40 years ago…I still remember one of the teacher there.
记得那年二年级,广福小学就在「火城」附近,又一天,放学后我贪玩,误了校车,就自己一人走路回家。我从劳明达街一直走到跑马铺路的花拉公园。。。
I studied at Kwong Fook School for a year in 1954 when I was then 7 years old. I could not take to the chinese lessons and so left for Balestier Boys’ School in 1958. Kwong Fook School was then a two storey wooden building. In Kwong Fook School, the teachers worn cheongsum, spoke cantonese and carry a feather duster which they used for pointing and caning pupils for discipline. The piano was carried from class to class by 2 janitors for music lessons by the various classes.
