Funeral Procession Vehicle

This is one of those decorated lorry for the Chinese funeral procession carrying mainly the bands of musicians dressed in ‘military uniforms’. This is a common sight in Singapore.

Marine Parade Community Building

This building was known as Marine Parade Community Centre when it was first built in the early 1980s and was sitting on reclaimed land. Now known as Marine Parade Community Building and Marine Parade Community Library and The Necessary Stage as well.

Katong Mall

Katong Mall was first known as Katong People’s Complex – the so called ‘Prisons with Pipes’. Built in 1983, and now undergone probably numerous facelift and known as Katong Mall. It is located at the junction of East Coast and Joo Chiat Roads.

Roxy Square

Located at the junction of East Coast Road and Brooke Road. Previously was the Roxy Theatre aka Roxy Cinema. It was later demolished and built into this Roxy Square in 1984.
