Ceylon Flats

Ever wonder why there is Ceylon Flats and Ceylon Road in Singapore? Ceylonese came to Singapore in the years 1870-75. They settled around Ceylon Road, Marshall Road, Haig Road and Tanjong Katong Road. I guess this Celong Flats was built for their accomodation.

The Singapore Marriott Hotel was previously known as the Dynasty Hotel.  This is a 33-storey deluxe hotel located in Orchard Road. The Tang Plaza is located just next to it.

Hotel Rendezvous

This Hotel Rendezvous opened in 1998, is located at the Btas Basah Road. The new 11-storey hotel was integrated behind the existing row of old pre-war 3-storey shophouses in an effort to preserve Singapore’s colorful past history.
