I think this is not so common nowadays.
Where is this roundabout? Is it the Siong Lim temple?

This roundabout is actually located just outside the Geylang Bahru Swimming Complex.

Yes, these decorated lorries carrying muscians are still around these days in S’pore. In layman term, they are called “Kong Guan”, meaning associations . These musicians played traditional Teochew music(Chaozhou Da Ruo Gu) for ceremonies including funerals and temples festivals.
They are part of the culture of Singapore and hopefully will not disappear as Chinese Sporeans become more educated and have other religious beliefs.
